ABOUT

Ben Collins

I work as a forensic accountant in London. In my heart of hearts though, I’m an adventurer, landscape photographer, ultra runner, mountaineer and keen cyclist. I have participated in three expeditions to the Andes, a solo 1,800km photo trek across Spain and many other expeditions closer to home in the European Alps and UK highlands. Other adventures include a bike expedition in 2006, when I cycled from my front door in England to the Russian border (via the most northerly point of Europe, North Cape, Norway), a journey of 10 weeks and 5,000km. In 2001, I was part of a group of four that walked from the Atlantic seaboard to the Mediterranean seaboard, across the Pyrenees, a journey of 7 weeks and 750km.

I have recently completed a long distance hike coast-to-coast across Northern Spain (May to August 2010) where I documented the landscapes seen during this journey through a series of landscape photographs. The book of this trip is available through Blurb in small version and coffee table size.
